The MAFF is the premier amateur football organization in the state of Maryland and ranks among the best in the country. Because of this status, we only seek teams that are sincere and serious about football to compete in the Mid Atlantic Football League (MAFL). A membership to the MAFL involves a considerable amount of time, money and travels; please do not apply if you are not willing to make a full commitment to our program
Player’s Residence (domicile) - A player’s legal residence MUST be in the State of Maryland or Delaware, or a residence of an area approved in the section below, and established before September 1st of the current playing season. All players MUST physically live in the residence listed on the Team Roster and Player Contract filed with the league commissioner.
There are areas outside the State of Maryland and Delaware that are approved for teams to draw players. The stipulation is that these players must be enrolled as a student during the current school year or be a legal resident in one (1) of the following counties:
PA -- Adams County, Franklin County, York County
VA -- Fairfax County, Loudon County, Prince William County, Stafford County, Fauquier County
WV -- Berkley County, Jefferson County
Washington, DC
The bottom line is that the MAFL is all about the future. What all of us should want for our players is for them to be able to go to High School and play, with the end goal being exposure to great high school program that will lead to college exposure. Our next meeting will be held over the summer.
